Church of St. Ananias

The Church of St. Ananias in Old Damascus (also known as Beit Ananias) is one of the oldest existing churches in the world and the second oldest church in Damascus after the Mariamite Cathedral. Its foundations date back to the Roman era and the first century AD, and it is distinguished by being an archaeological structure located entirely underground, approximately 5 meters below ground.
