Marian Church

The Mariamite Church, or Mariamite Cathedral, is one of the churches in Damascus, the capital of the Syrian Arab Republic. Located in the Old City of Damascus, on the left side of the Straight Street leading to Bab Sharqi (Eastern Gate), it is one of the oldest Syrian churches, dating back to the early days of Christianity in Damascus. It is an Orthodox church belonging to the Greek Orthodox Church and is the seat of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East.
