National Evangelical Church

The first Evangelical church in the Levant was in Damascus, Syria. In 1860, the Damascus Evangelical Church was founded, and construction began on a special headquarters for the church in the Bab Touma neighborhood (Al-Dawamneh Square), which is the same as the current National Evangelical Church.
