St. Athanasius Church

In the town of Al-Sisiniya (part of the Safita district in the Tartus countryside), there is no existing church dedicated to Saint Athanasius. The only notable historical church in the town is the Orthodox Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary (which houses a rare manuscript Gospel from 1007 AD and Imperial Russian icons).
