The Ancient Church of Brat

The ancient Church of Brad (known as the Church of St. Julianus) is one of the oldest and most significant historical churches in Syria and the world. It holds immense spiritual importance as the site of the shrine of Saint Maron—the hermit and founder of the Maronite Church. The church is located in the ancient village of Brad, on the slopes of Mount Lilon in the Afrin region, approximately 40 kilometers northwest of the city of Aleppo.
