Al-Mahbala Castle

It is known as the name of a fortress, it is located on top of a high mountain near Al -Lattakia at an altitude of 750 times, and 40 kilometers from the Syrian coast. Its construction dates back to the eleventh century, where it was built by al -Rub, and then the Byzantines seized it in 1031 AD, and completed its construction. The castle was subjected to many attacks, and moved between many forces, until it surrendered in favor of the Ayyubid religion in 1188 AD. The castle is characterized by its huge walls and rooms under the ground, and restoration work is currently done to preserve the remaining old effects.
