Saladin (Salah al-Din) Castle

Formerly known as Zion Castle, it is located in Lattakia Governorate, Syria, the castle occupies a strategic location on a mountainous top surrounded by deep valleys. It is characterized by the beauty of its military architectural design from the Middle Ages, and historians have described it as one of the most beautiful castles that the Crusaders built in the twelfth century. In the year, 1188, Saleh al -Din al -Ayyubi seized the castle after a two -day battle, to become a witness to the history of conquests and confrontations between the various powers.
