Lover’s Canal

It is a historical water channel under the ground that extends from) Ain Zarqa (in a peaceful area to) Affamia (in Hama Governorate, Syria. Its length is about 150 km, and its history dates back to the Roman era 2000 years ago. The channel was built with an engineering skill for transporting water between the two regions And it was part of the legend of love between Amir Salmiya and the daughter of the king of Apamea.
