Khan Rustum Pasha

is an archaeological teacher located on Al -Murabit Street in Hama, Syria. It was built during the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in 1556 AD by Rustam Pasha. The Khan is characterized by its large entrance that leads to a square in the middle of a mosque, surrounded by many halls. During the French occupation period, Khan was used as a military barrack and was known as "Khan Al -Askar". It consists of two floors, where the first floor was allocated as a market for manual professions, while the second floor became a shelter for orphans
