Qarfur

It is an ancient historical town located in northwestern Syria, specifically in the Al -Asi River Valley. The town was known prominent through the famous Battle of Qaraqour, which took place in 853 BC, where several local kingdoms, led by Haddzir Al -Dimashqi, allied against the Assyrian army led by King Shalmunser III, the town was linked to an archaeological site known as Talqurqour, where traces and remains dating back to multiple periods of history were discovered, Including the impressive defensive structures of the Iron Age.
