Al-Madiq Castle

It is located in the plain of Al -Ghab, Hama Governorate, Syria, and overlooks the Orontes River near the ancient city of Apamea. The castle is based on a strategic hill, which gave it a dedication to the region historically. Its origin is believed to return to the Seleucid era, and then it was rebuilt in multiple periods, the most important of which is the Ayyubid era. As for the castle, it remained inhabited until today, and it includes a small village next to it.
