Najm Castle

The archaeological jewel on the banks of the Euphrates, features its strategic location near the city of Manbij, where it overlooks fertile agricultural Ara. It was founded in the tenth century, and is one of the important fortresses that the Hamdani used after their victories. The castle consists of three floors, surrounded by strong fences and deep trench, which gives the site a majestic defensive character.
