Dura-Europos

Also known as Al-Salihiyah, it is an ancient city located on the western bank of the Euphrates River in the Deir ez-Zor Governorate in Syria. The city was founded by the Seleucids in 303 BC, and subsequently various civilizations took turns controlling it due to its great strategic importance.
