Qal'at Ja'bar

is an archaeological castle located on the eastern bank of the lake in & nbsp; Raqqa Governorate & nbsp; in the east & nbsp; Syria. The castle was built by Banu Nameer in the eleventh century AD, and Sultan Noureddine Zangi re-built it in the year 1168 AD.
