Italian Hospital

The Italian Hospital, also known as "Al-Talyani Hospital," is a historic medical institution located in the Al-Salihiyah district of Damascus, Syria. The hospital was established in 1912 through an initiative by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the supervision of Dr. Captain Calixy, to provide healthcare services to the local community. In 1913, the clinic was recognized by the Italian National Association for Catholic Missions Abroad, paving the way for its development into a fully equipped surgical hospital.
